CHARLESTON, S.C. – In its fourth year of partnership with the NPL, the 2018 Jefferson Cup will feature about 370 NPL boys and girls teams. These clubs range across East Coast and West Coast states, and will prepare to battle the entire tournament field of more than 1,100 teams.
The following NPLs will be represented: EDP – NPL Division, Florida NPL, NEP – NPL Division, NISL – NPL Division, NorCal NPL, Northeast Girls NPL, NYCSL – NPL Division, Midwest Developmental League, South Atlantic Premier League and Virginia NPL.
As one of the most well-known showcases in the nation, the immense number of contending clubs will see the tournament played out over four different weekends, all held in Richmond, Va.
The four weekends of Jefferson Cup play will be formatted as follows:
Four 2017 NPL Finals winning clubs will field teams in the Cup: FC Copa Academy (’00 girls), SUSA Academy (’01 girls), South Shore Select (’03 girls) and NEFC (’04 girls).
