  • The Jefferson Cup features some of the top natural grass field complexes in the country and again for 2017 the Jefferson Cup will feature a total of 28 turf fields virtually ensuring full tournament play regardless of any weather issues.
     
  • Top Brackets of each age group and U16-U19 Showcase games will continue to be played on some of the nation’s finest natural grass complexes, including Striker Park and West Creek, with turf field back-ups for adverse weather.
     
  • The River City Sportsplex (formerly SportsQuest) features 12 synthetic turf fields by Shaw Sportexe which allows tournament play to continue under adverse weather conditions for all age groups and brackets.
     
  • The Tournament accepts over 1000 teams from around 36 States throughout the country.
     
  • In the past 4 Years, the Jefferson Cup turns down an average of over 500 teams per year.
     
  • In 2013 the Jefferson Cup reached a #2 ranking in the country for girls weekend and #9 for boys weekend (moving up almost 16 spots from 2012.
     
  • In 2009 the Jefferson Cup reached its highest ranking ever being ranked the #1 youth tournament for boys in the United States.
     
  • Each year the tournament draws an average of over 150 State Cup Champions, over 10 Regional Champions and over 5 National Champions per year throughout the nine age groups.
     
  • In 2012, 227 Boys College Coaches and 289 Girls College Coaches, attended the Jefferson Cup, achieving record numbers for the 3rd year in a row for both boys and girls weekends.
     
  • The main sponsors of the Jefferson Cup are Markel Corporation, NIKE, Richmond SportsBackers, Richmond Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Richmond Strikers Soccer Club.
     
  • The Jefferson Cup has become associated with tournaments such as the Dallas Cup, The San Diego Surf Cup, WAGS Women’s Tournament, and the Disney College Showcase as one of the five premier North American tournaments in the country.
